Hi crafty people. I’m back, along with many of our Design Team members, to share three new Halloween sets that Waltzingmouse Stamps will release this coming Thursday. I hope you are in the mood for a little spooky fun.
Today we are showcasing three more sets, All Hallow’s Eve, The Count, and Splat That!
First up is The Count...His Excellency, Count Dracula, Kindly Requests Admission. That’s because any self-respecting fan of the vampires know that vampires cannot enter your home without permission to do so. While my door is open, I’m not really wanting him to enter!
I used the Grand Madison door die to create my entrance, and stamped the Count in black (naturally) and fussy cut around him, attaching him with foam dimension adhesive. My papers are from The Spider’s Web collection from My Mind’s Eye and all the papers on this card are from that collection (except the black card base).
My sentiment was backed with a bit of black netting.
My next project uses the All Hallow’s Eve set, which is filled with wonderfully vintage Halloween images. My focal image is the vintage church which is surprisingly detailed.
I used one of the vintage flourishes from the set, stamping around the edge of the Sweet Corn yellow card base. then a layer of black and white striped patterned paper and finally my focal image which was stamped on the same Sweet Corn cardstock. I distressed the edges, layered it with more black cardstock and then, using a blending tool, gave the edges an outer dark shadow.
Along the bottom and up the left edge I added a combination of Aged Bronze and Aged Black Embossing Enamel and heat set before I added the lace that has gold metallic highlights running through it. I topped my bow off with a brad that I created using a Build-a-Brad. I stamped the flower which is within the same flourish I mentioned earlier and then used a 1/2” circle punch, punched it out, attached it to the brad and topped it with a glazed top.
My last project uses images from All Hallow’s Eve and Splat That. My base is kraft and using red ink, I stamped what looks like blood “splats” around the area that would be showing. Before moving on, I used a product called Goosebumps Texture Spray. Using a small paint brush to add the texture spray and applied that to the blood drops, giving it a “wet” look. oooh, creepy.
The tag, sentiment, and raven are from the All Hallow’s Eve set that I stamped and cut out, attaching it with foam dimensional adhesive. I swear, I cannot create a project without those puffy treasurers!
Here is a close up of the texture that the Goosebumps adds. I added more of the black netting across the base directly over a bit of the “broken fence” that I punched from black cardstock.
A stamped the “claw marks” that are in the Splat That set, and then scratched the cardstock vigorously until I “clawed” through. I back this layer with a scrap of red cardstock so that as you see though the scratches, you see red. I distressed the edges and applied more dark ink around the edges. One last touch was to add a crystal to the raven’s eye, which looks quiet creepy in real life.
That’s my contributions for today. It’s full of truly Halloween imagery with a vintage flair. I’m sure that the other members of our team will have lots of variations and creative designs using these three new sets. Don’t take my word for it, check it out for yourself, if you dare....bwahahaha
I’m happy you stopped by and I welcome you to come back tomorrow for previews of the last two sets in this release.
Until next time, keep your doors locked! LOL
Live each day with PURPOSE!
