So Lucky You’re in my Life

Blog-Party-Logo 70%25

Hello crafty friends. May I wish you all a very happy St. Patrick’s Day. Whether you are Irish or not, we can all enjoy this lucky day filled with green beer, corned beef and shamrocks. Today I’m feeling pretty lucky to not only be of Irish descent, but to be taking part in today’s Waltzingmouse Stamps Blog Party.

This month our theme is LUCK, and even if you haven’t created a project yet for this fun event, there is still time. You have 24 hours to create and upload your project. For all the details, check out Claire’s blog post today.

My card focuses on luck (my OWN luck) to have such a great husband. He’s patient (and that’s a real bonus for me) kind, and a total perfect fit for me and my quirky nature.

So using my Silhouette I die cut a jar from the Candy Jar Christmas Fillers set using a cut file Claire supplied us to create a jar full of shamrocks.

March-Full_b

I filled in the background of my jar using a Copic Marker before I masked off my jar and stamped several shamrocks from the Irish Blessings set. Layered on papers from several different manufacturers creates a truly GREEN color palette.

March-Lucky

I die cut the word “lucky” with my Cameo and stamped the other words from the L’il Buddies set and popped some up with foam dimensional adhesive.

March-Jar-CU

To embellish my jar of luck, I stamped a shamrock from the Celtic Heritage set topped with a veneer heart colored with acrylic paint.

So that’s it for me. I hope you will consider joining in the fun and maybe you’ll get lucky and be the lucky winner of a free stamp set awarded to one of the participants! Are you feeling lucky?

Thanks for stopping in today. I hope you enjoy your day and may LUCK be with you this day and always.

Lynn

Live each day with PURPOSE!

This is a jar of awesomeness, Lynn! What a creative card with so many unique elements! I just love the different sets you used to create this wonder. The clovers in the jar are perfectly stamped! Love the big "Lucky" with the sweet sentiments for Lil Buddies. The patterned paper choices are lovely in green to boot!

What a special card for your husband! I am sure he loved it. I am sitting here chuckling as I understand being lucky to have a hubby who gets my quirkiness, as I held a tea party yesterday and the hubby jumped in and cut out the bread for the sandwiches into flower shapes with a knife. He smiled and said "5 years ago, I could have said I never would be sitting her cutting sanwhiches into flower shapes!" Safe travels.
