It’s Release Day–Check out the Waltzingmouse Stamps DT Blog Waltz

Hi and welcome. Today is the Waltzingmouse Stamps March release day and to celebrate, the Design Team is holding a blog waltz.

I hope that you have enjoyed the previous days of previews that the team has brought to you. We are all so excited about this release, and we hope that you will see how much we love the three new sets released and are available now at Waltzingmouse Stamps; A Good Egg, Folk Art Labels No. 25 and Folk Art Medallions.

If you are here after visiting Kelly Schirmer’s blog, then you are right on track, but if you get distracted along the say, stop by Claire’s blog where she has a complete list of the team in order of the waltz.

My project today features, A Good Egg, a set that will surely get lots of use not only for the upcoming Easter holiday, but since there is soon to be a new baby in our family (HA! no, not me, but my daughter is due and ready for her baby girl to arrive), I’m sure some birth announcements will be coming!

Just-Hatched-Full

I couldn’t resist creating a little “just hatched” card from this set. I cut my “rays” using my Cameo and once I had it on the white cardstock, I decided to do a little stitching to add a little interest to the design. These are actually two halves to the “rays” that I combined, covering up the center seam with a really old sticker strip that has been in my stash for over 5 years. SERIOUSLY!

Just-Hatched-chick

I inked up and then embossed with clear embossing powder, this chipboard frame from Maya Road which made a great backdrop for my just hatched egg.

Just-Hatched-Embell

To embellish my baby card I punched a heart from the same cardstock I used for the “rays” and added a bit of scalloped trim, a little diaper pin brad and a bit of flair from my stash.

I’m excited to be able to give this card to my daughter and her husband very soon. SOON!

In the mean time, be sure to check out the next creative lady along this Blog Waltz. You can find Jennifer Holmes and her creative genius by clicking on her name.

We can’t have a release Blog Waltz without a prize – no way. There will be a prize of a stamp set of choice from a random drawing from comments left on the Design Team blogs. So to increase your odds of winning, be sure to stop and comment on all the blogs. You have until March 11th at 11:59 PM (GMT), 5:5 9AM Central (March 12), 3:59 AM Pacific and 6:59 AM Eastern to leave comments. The winner of the free set will be posted on Claire’s blog on Wednesday, March 13th.

So off you go, and enjoy! Don’t forget that the store is now open and ready for your orders!

Thanks for stopping by today.

From where did you find that colored pin? It looks real not painted. Is it?
