New Stampendous Release!–More Halloween Fun

Hi friends.  It’s no secret that I love Halloween, and one of the things I look forward to most about Autumn is creating for this spooky day. The temperatures may still be in the 100 degree range, but that didn’t stop me from getting into the mood to create a little spooky fun.

Today I have another project to share with your showcasing a new Halloween stamp from Stampendous. Mumeek is a whimsical image that is a fun way to celebrate Halloween without scaring the pants off ya!

Mumeek

My project today uses this fun Mumeek image on top of a banner of ribbon that lays on top of black cardstock wrapped in gauze.  To “age” the gauze a bit, I used my air compressor to spray on a slight gray color to the stark white gauze. This “aging” could also be done with any variety of spray mist or even pressing your ink pad directly onto the gauze, so you don’t need an air compressor to get the same effect.  Just make sure the gauze is dry before you add it to your project.

I die cut a large scalloped oval in white and then stamped my image on it and colored it with Copic Markers. With the die still on the paper, I used a blending tool to add ink around the edges of the die giving the image extra dimension.

Check out my other Stampendous teammates who are showing off new products from Stampendous today. Some of them have their own blog candy as well as this fun prize that Stampendous will draw for as well.

One of the featured bloggers today will choose a random commenter from her blog, and that lucky person will be announced on the Stampendous blog tomorrow. The more places comment, the better your chances are to win! Below is the list of team members who are sharing inspiration today:

Stampendous Impressions
Jennifer Ingle
Kristine Reynolds
Jennifer Dove
Taylor Usry (has additional blog candy)
Jan Garber
Susie Moore
Lea Kimmel
Rhea Weigand

I’m happy you stopped by today and come back because I’ll have more goodies to share with you this weekend.

You weren't kidding about adding dimension to the scallop! I thought it was a curved porcelain plate at first glance! That gauze is the perfect addition to the card, too! Great job.
