Waltzingmouse Stamps’ February 2012 Blog Party

Blog-Party-Logo

Hi crafty people.  Welcome to my blog. I am participating in the February Waltzingmouse Stamps Blog Party today, and I hope you will want to play along too – it’s not too late, you have plenty of time to whip up a project and get it uploaded.  For all the details on today's blog party and how you might win a free stamp set from Waltzingmouse Stamps, check out this post here.

The theme for February's Blog Party is "Looking Forward to Spring", and no one looks forward to spring with greater enthusiasm and anticipation than me.  Spring is when winter sheds her cold, frozen coat and opens up for the rebirth of growth.  For me Spring means rain, but the rain brings new growth.

Using images from Asian Garden Additions and Irish Blessings sets, I created a simple little card.  Using the cloud image, I stamped it onto a piece of scrap patterned paper using foam pop dots to add dimension.

A little rain must fall to allow the clover to grow (or in this case Shamrocks).

And lastly, I added a little sentiment from the Spring Baskets set. I punched 3 tiny hearts form the same patterned paper used in the cloud to create the little Shamrock embellishment.

Thanks for looking in today - I hope you will be hopping along to the other players’ blogs...you won't be short on Springtime inspiration.

East meets Weat! What a clever combo of two very different stamp sets. This is a great CAS card, Lynn, though not so simple really, with all the little extra touches and perfect placement.
