It’s Preview Time for Waltzingmouse Stamps–February 2012-Day 1

Hi crafty friends.  After a bit of a hiatus, the Waltzingmouse Stamps team is happy to be previewing 9 new sets over the next few days; all of which will be available for purchase on February 29 (Leap Day).

Today we are sharing projects that we have created using 3 of the 9 new sets; French Country, Chicken Wire and Make Your Mark!

My first project highlights the Make Your Mark set.  It's filled with lots of images that traditionally might go on the back of a card,  but I actually used one of the images as my focal point as well as the back signature.

I stamped the label image from the French County image onto red cardstock using black ink and then colored in the white scallops with an opaque gel pen.  This label coordinates with Spellbinders' Labels 25 (which I don't have yet, but it's on my wish list).

This label served as a base for my trio of images; the circle sentiment is nestled onto black cardstock, the little flower that I colored with my Copic Markers on a punched heart with an added dotted border and my flower that has a metal star-burst behind it.  That star-burst is actually a recycled part from an old jewelry piece and adds to the festive feel of this card.

Here is a photo of another image from the Make Your Mark set that I stamped on the back of my card, reminding the recipient that a lot of care went into creating this card for them.

My second project uses the other two sets making their debut today; French Country and Chicken Wire.  I feel these two sets go so well together, and I hope you will agree as you see that I have used the chicken wire set to create background designs on all of my panels in the color block design.  You can also see many of the images that are included in the French Country set.

The card base was embossed with my Cuttlebug Swiss Dots embossing folder, ad I then cut various square creating a color blocking design.  Each square was stamped with the smaller Chicken Wire image from that set using coordinating ink and then I used my opaque white gel pen to create a faux stitched borders.  I stamped my sentiment in black and added a few pieces of golden crystals.

I stamped the little flower from the set and cut it out after coloring it and placing it inside of a small clay pot that I had in my stash.  The clay pot was embellished with more of the same crystals used on my sentiment, and then sprayed with Glimmer Mist.

On the back of this morning greeting, I used another of the images from the Make Your Mark set.

I hope you will stop by the blogs of the other Design Team members and be prepared to be amazed.  It's always great fun for me to see all the different ways the Design Team uses the same sets according to their own style and mojo.

Oh my goodness, these are amazing! I love the scrappy feel of your first card and how you used an image from Make Your Mark on your card front! The tiled feel of your second card with the chicken wire and the elements from French Country in the sunny shades of gold and blue have all come together so perfectly in this gorgeous card! (total run-on sentence.. can't help it!) Adore, Lynn, adore!
