Hi people, and welcome back to the Waltzingmouse Stamps preview, specifically, day 2. I hope you enjoyed all the projects posted by the Design Team highlighting Gingham & Co. Today we are showcasing another great set that will be available from WMS on May 1st at 1:00 p.m. Central time.
Today’s set is a wonderful set specifically for use when creating invitations and thank you cards for AFTER the fact. Either way, I’m sure you will find this set as useful as I do.
I have two projects to share with you today…first the invitation
I created a fairly generic invitation to join us for a celebration. Using some great patterned papers from Kaiser Craft layered on a card base of brown, sets the backdrop of this card. I created a scalloped border which was layered on top of a piece of satin ribbon. I snipped off the edge of the ribbon and then frayed the edges before adding some distress ink to it so better match the distressing on the other papers.
I used a flourish image included in the Join Us set to stamp onto ivory cardstock. I then sponged on a thin layer of Gesso before adding the distress ink around the edged.
My embellishment is a combination of flowers, ribbon buttons and twine…simple and effective.
It’s always nice to send a think you to those who visit, and the Join Us set also contains a slew of sentiments to complete any “thank you” that you may have need for. This card is fairly simple, but dressed up with images from the set that were stamped and layered atop patterned paper and lined along the card.
A few pearls and scallops dress up this plain “thank you” with the elegance that Waltzingmouse Stamps images offer.
I just adore this set and can see me using it often for even the simplest invitations and thank you notes that I may have a need for.

Both cards are just amazing!! I love that you used browns: not a color I go for, so it was a wonderful reminder that even brown can be done beautifully!!
