Springtime Sympathy

Hello and welcome!

It’s a sad fact of life – people are born on this world, they live their life and in a moment in time, they are taken from us.  But of that day and hour no one knoweth, not the angels of heaven, but the Father alone. ~ Mathew 24:36

It seems that I never have the right card ready when I need them, so when I’m inspired to create a sympathy card, I run with it so that when that hour does come for me to express my sorrow for a loss, I won’t have to create a card, but will be ready.

In-Sympathy-032011

I began with some lovely papers by Basic Grey, Kioshi’s line and created squares of patterned which were layered onto and 8 X 4” card base.  I stamped the images in black ink from Ashley’s Bloom’s stamp set, colored them with Copic markers and then trimmed out the image and adhered them onto the card using Zva Creative Adhesive Foam Dots.

The sentiment was stamped and then die cut using my Petite Scallop Oval Nestabilities.

With the sad truth that loss is inevitable, it never hurts to be prepared.

Thanks for looking in today.  I hope you have a day filled with joyful life and happiness.
