Hello and thanks for checking in today. It’s time for another Waltzingmouse Stamps Christmas Card Challenge. Each month a new challenge is issued to those who want to participate and increase their stash of Christmas cards so that when the busy rush of the holidays are upon us, making sure we have enough cards doesn’t add to the stress. After all, it is much easier to make a few cards each month, than to make 50 or so all in the harried weeks prior to the big day.
All of the excitement begins on the Waltzingmouse Stamps Forum. If you are a WMS fan and aren’t a member of this creative community, I invite you to check it out. It IS your go-to source for WMS inspiration. All the details about the challenge and how you can win fantastic prizes are posted on the Waltzingmouse Stamps Christmas Card Challenge thread.
The calendar may show that it’s spring, but there are many places that still are getting snow. So this month we are celebrating snow – embracing the white stuff. The challenge for April is snow - use lots of white glitter, or white flock on your Christmas card or cards. After all, the idea is to build up your stash, right?
I’m not sure if my projects qualifies as LOTS of glitter, but I did accent my little snowmen with an outline of the sparkly stuff.
The images are from Sewing Box Christmas. I used some scraps of patterned paper to create my dual strips that I attached to my card base embossed with a folder from Quikuts.
I stamped my snowman and after coloring his top hat and adding the glitter, I cut out the image and adhered it onto a die cut/ The flowers are from Zva Creative and even those have a touch of glitter added to them.
In this picture you can see the snow outline which gives the card a real festive look.
That’s it – two more cards added to my stash. YES! I hope you will decide to jump in and join me with this month’s Waltzingmouse Stamps Christmas Card Challenge. Those of you who have been playing along with the challenge will be happy to know that we are more than halfway to the midpoint of this yearlong challenge. In June we’ll be drawing for a prize, so keep up the good work. For those of you haven’t jumped on the bandwagon yet, you still have time.
And remember that the Friends of Waltzingmouse Stamps’ Blog Waltz is on April 17th. The theme for April is Easter, and all the details can be found on the Waltzingmouse Stamps House forum thread.
Thanks for stopping by. Now go pull out those Waltzingmouse Stamp Christmas sets and let it snow, let it snow, let it snow.
