April 2011 WMS Stamp of Approval Parade–Day 4

Greetings and welcome to the fourth and final day of the April 2011 Waltzingmouse Stamps Stamp of Approval Parade.  It’s a very special day for WMS, not only only because we are wrapping up 4 days of fun and inspiration, but today Claire is introducing THREE new Design Team Members.  I’m so very excited about these three new VERY talented ladies.  I don’t want to steal Claire’s thunder so be sure to head on over to her blog to get all the exciting news.

For the past 3 days, the Design Team has shared projects with you from Waltzingmouse Stamps’ latest release, but we also love all of older sets that WMS has too, so today we are sharing projects we have made using Spring Baskets.  It the perfect time of year to break out the great springtime images that this set contains and focus on the fun associated with Easter.

Spring-Baskets-full

Using a small, clear paint can, I decorated it with various image from the Spring Basket Sets.  I created a border for the bottom of the can by stamping and masking images, alternating between the flowers and the eggs.  I colored them with Copic markers and then trimmed out the image and attached it to the paint can with a strip of red-line tape.

I added two shades of green grass and then added a trim of organza roses ribbon that I colored with a few spritzes of Glimmer Mist.

Spring-Baskets-top

The top of the paint can contains the greeting, also colored with Copic markers.  I used several layers of foam adhesive squares to pop up the die cut high enough to be level with the top of the can. I love the dimension it gives.

Spring-Bunnies

I created a card to accompany the can ‘o chocolate eggs.  I die cut this fun bunny image that I got from the Silhouette store and cut them in a pale yellow color.  I used part of one of the egg images from the Spring Baskets set to give their “back ends” some form and then attached four little poufy tales.

Spring-Baksets-Inside-bunni

When you open the bunnies, you are greeting with a secret message.

Spring-Baksets-Inside-card

And on the interior of the card I’ve left plenty of space for a handwritten greeting.

Now it’s time for you to get your craftiness on as we invite you to participate in a CASE (Copy and Share Everything) competition.

Find a card or project from any of the projects posted over the past few days by the WMS Design Team, CASE that project using Waltzingmouse Stamp images, and link it using the Inlinkz on Claire’s blog at http://waltzingmouse.blogspot.com/. At the end of the competition, one project will be randomly selected to be highlighted with a Parade of its own on several of the Design Team blogs.

We hope you will enjoy this competition and that it will inspire your creativity. You have one week to complete and link your project as the competition will close on April 10th at 8:00 AM Claire’s time, which is 3 AM Eastern, 2 AM Central and Midnight, Pacific time. The winner will be announced on Claire’s blog on April 11th.

Don’t forget to stop by the Design Team Member’s blogs and see what creative projects they have designed just for you! See any new names????

We hope that you have enjoyed, and have been inspired, the past few days from our Stamp of Approval Parade; highlighting last month’s sets and our beloved Spring Baskets set.

You have my deepest appreciation for stopping by and for joining me and the other design team members for the April Stamp of Approval Parade.
