Christmas-challenge-logo

Greetings crafty people.  It just seems like a couple of weeks ago (wait, it WAS a couple of weeks ago) that I posted news about a brand new challenge on the Waltzingmouse House; The Waltzingmouse Stamps Christmas Card Challenge.  Participating in these challenges is a great way to get an early start on your holiday cards and increase your odds of winning some great prizes. Intrigued?  Read on…

All of the excitement begins on the Waltzingmouse Stamps Forum.  If you are a WMS fan and aren’t a member of this creative community, I invite you to check it out.  It IS your go-to source for WMS inspiration.  All the details about the challenge and how you can win fantastic prized are posted on the Waltzingmouse Stamps Christmas Card Challenge thread.

It’s the 10th of the month, so it’s time to post our February Waltzingmouse Stamps Christmas Card Challenge. (see complete list of guidelines by following the link above)

The challenge this month is to create cards using the Quick Pick  method:  Look around your craft work space and find a few items lying around that you haven’t put away to create a Christmas card.   Suggested items might be cardstock, pieces of patterned paper, buttons or other embellishments lying around from your last project. While one card is good, more is better with regards to Christmas cards and I encourage you to make as many of the same design as you like.

My cards were created using papers and embellishments left over from my December Daily project.  Those papers had been sitting in a bin on my work station for nearly two months and I am happy to whittle away at that pile for this challenge.

Using my Very Vintage Christmas stamp set, I stamped my focal images in red and die cut them using my much-loved Nestabilities.

My border was die cut with my Fleur de Lis dies, also from Spellbinders.

A little lace, ribbon and foam dimensional tape, and I was done in a jiffy.  YES – two more Christmas cards to add to my collection!  That’s 4 down and it’s not even the middle of February.  I’m feeling better already!

Are you ready to get started on yours?  Pop on over to the Waltzingmouse House and join the fun.
