Be Mine Forever

Hey there crafty people!  Can you stand another creation filled with love and papers from the Be Mine Collection?  I hope so because my project today is a flowering plea to be mine forever!

StudioAE-Valentine-Full

I wanted a long rectangular scallop, but I didn’t have a Nestabilities die that was just  the right size for my project, so using one of my Small Scallop Square Nestabilities I cut one scallop square and then using a piece of scrap, I cut a section just long enough to extend the piece for my project.  I knew that I would cover up the seam so piecing  the two sections together would never be noticed.

Along the back side of the paper, I attached the two pieces using Scotch tape.

I layered the Scallop panel upon some light pink cardstock and then proceeded to layer other patterned paper from the same Be Mine Collection sandwiched between layers of gray and pink cardstock. On the top piece of paper I stamped little circle “love” images using pink ink and images from the Technique Tuesday StudioAE image, Adorned by Ali Edwards, creating a subtle patterned behind my flower.

I created my flower by layering a scallop circle punch with other layered images from the same Technique Tuesday set.  I used some black loopy trim as my stem sticking it to the paper using I {Stick} Papers and adorned the card with several self-adhesive crystal hearts.

I wanted a Valentine but not a romantic one, since I’ll probably send this to one of my Granddaughters.  For the remainder of my sentiment I created a wavy section of gray cardstock and placed some of the alphabet stickers, also included in the Be Mine Collection.

That’s it for today, I want to thank you for stopping by.  YOU are the reason I keep doing this.  I would probably continue to post even if no one visited, but it wouldn’t be nearly as much fun.  The relationships that have evolved as a result of my blogging has been a wonderful thing in my life.  I just wanted you to know that.  Until next time, stay crafty!
