Waltzingmouse Stamps September Preview-Day 2

Hi crafty people.  I'm back with another preview of one of the sets that Claire and Waltzingmouse Stamps will be releasing on Sunday, the 12th.  I'm super excited about this set because of the many ways that I can see myself using it.

I love music, always have, always will.  From the earliest memories I have as a child, I always had a radio playing.  WAY back in the day, it was a little transistor radio - which I don't really know what that is exactly, except that it picked up AM radio and was powered by a 9 volt battery, which made it portable.  I carried that think everywhere with me.  As I grew up and my taste refined, I had many radios - moving from the bland AM radio to FM and then to stereo.  By the time I grew up, I had amassed a record album collection of over 200 albums, which I still have.  I can't seem to let go of them, even though I no longer have a turntable on which to play them.  They represent so much more than just a record collection.

Not only did I love listening to music, but as a young girl, my mother bought me a piano (which I also still have, by the way) and I took piano lessons for a time. Music is as much a part of who I am as is the red hair that I sport. Yes, I truly love music. Can you see where I'm going with this?

Let me share my card with you!  It uses a combination of an older set, Season of Love, with the new set, Music Background.  I just adore this set because there are many occasions that I can see where using a
musical background would fit in nicely.  Claire's new Music Background set is unique for several reasons, and once you see the entire set you will see why.

I stamped the background stamp onto white cardstock using gray ink, then I tore the edges and inked them before adhering them to the black and gray stripped paper.  I'm really drawn to the combination of black, gray and burgundy and it seemed to work well with my design.  I added the heart that I stamped with burgundy ink and die cut with my Nested Hearts Spellbinder's die.  I added die cut corners adored with
teeny pearls.

To finish the embellishment, I added a matching ribbon and tied it up with an itty-bitty metal charm. So if you are ready, I'd love for you to check out these WMS Design Team Members who are sure to amaze and delight you with their creativity.
