Gina K Designs September 2010 Previews – Day 4

Hey crafty people.  Today is day 4 and the last day of previews for the new Gina K Design sets that will be available Thursday evening at 10:00 p.m.  The project I selected for tonight is a sympathy card – those cards that we all need from time to time, but don’t really enjoy making because they represent sadness, although their purpose is to offer support and loving empathy.

With-Sympathy

I created this card using some wonderful new digital paper created by Nina Brackett called Vintage Basics which matched wonderfully with some old cardstock I had.  I stamped the wonderful Labels 14 image using cream pigment ink and embossing it with cream embossing powder.  I stamped the image again onto ivory cardstock and cut it out, adhering it to the first image using mini pop dots.

I used the fancy photo corner punch to decorate the panel and used brads to attach them through the double stitch ribbon.

It’s a guarantee that you will love the new Labeled with love set with all the great sentiments made to fit within the center.

For more samples with tonight's new stamp sets, please visit these participating designer's blog links:

I, along with the entire team, would like to cordially invite you to our release party tomorrow night (Thursday September 30.)  There will be contest questions, challenges, chatter, and many more samples using the new stamp sets to share during the party. Please make plans to join us from 7-10 central on StampTV!

To me, this is really reminiscent of the heavily veiled mourners (as seen in the movies). Very appropriate.
