You Make Me Smile

Hi crafty people!  I'm happy you stopped by today.  I have a quick little card to share with you.  I was totally inspired to pay along with the Paper Craft Planet's sketch challenge that was posted Saturday. Adella Rossol of Created by AR is hosting the challenge this week.  Want to play along?  Just create a card, scrapbook page or other paper project using this sketch and upload your project in the Sketch Challenge group using the tag sk071710.

I really should have been working on other REQUIRED projects, but sometimes you just have to create for the shear fun of it, right?  Isn't that what papercrafting is all about...the joy of creating?  Besides, I had a new Verve stamp set that had not seen ink yet, and it was really bothering me that it was sitting unloved.  This was the perfect opportunity.

I started with a piece of acrylic (left over from an acrylic box I had cut up for another project) and stamped the flourish design with white StazOn ink.  That acrylic piece was attached to a mat of patterned paper where I attached two other images that I had colored with Copic markers and adhered with glue dots.

Staying true to the sketch, I added a trim piece punched with a scallop border punch and tied a little ribbon around the card front before attaching it to my card base.

These bright and cheerful colors just "make me smile"....and so do you!  I appreciate you stopping by today.  Have an awesome day!
