WMSC5 - A Weekend Hello!

Hello crafty people, and welcome to the weekend – my favorite time of the week.  It’s also time for a new Waltzingmouse Stamps Sketch Challenge.  Are you ready to play?  Let’s get started.July-10-2010-sketchWMSC5

I took a little creative license with this week’s sketch and did a flipper-roo for my project.

WMSC-5-Hello

It’s a pretty simple card with minimal embellishments.  After stamping the journaling block from Victorian Fripperie, I used Victorian Alphabet to stamp the word “hello” and using the stem from the Pic-Nic Patterns set, I created a flower, which I embellished with dots of Liquid Pearls.

I wanted to add ribbon, but felt that if I added a bow or wrapped a ribbon around the card it would compete for attention with the fun striped panel that I created from strips of patterned paper, topped with a Daisy Scallop Border Punched trim, so I just went with a little lace along the bottom of the sentiment.

Now it’s your turn.  Using Waltzingmouse Stamps is not required to play along with the challenges, but it would be awesome if you did. Just create a project using the sketch design above and then upload your project to your blog or online gallery (please use the keyword/tag of WMSC5 when you upload to a gallery or your blog) and then visit the Waltzingmouse Stamps Challenge Blog and leave a post with a direct link to your project. You have until next Thursday, July 15 at 11:59 pm Eastern Time to post the link to your project.  Occasionally Claire will offer prizes for an especially creative project, but you never know when that week will be.  To make it even more fun, three of you will be awarded the Top Mouse Award, and be given a blinkie to  proudly display on your blog! I hope you are inspired to play along.

I’m so happy you decided to look in on my blog today!  Have a great Saturday.
