It’s Preview Time for Waltzingmouse Stamps

I’m so excited about today’s post…not only am I previewing new images from Waltzingmouse Stamps (which will be available Tuesday) but I have some happy news to share. No, I haven’t won the lottery, but I keep playing in hopes, ya know.

First let’s get to the preview.

The weather may still be hot – well, at least it is where I live, (those of you who live in the Midwest US know what I’m talking about when I say hot) but for crafters – we are well into thinking about the upcoming holidays.  The holiday that Waltzingmouse Stamps has on its mind is Halloween, although technically isn’t a holiday, it sure is a celebrated event.  Halloween seems to be the “Memorial Day” of the winter holidays, kicking off the trifecta holiday season of Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Years.

Today let me introduce you to Midnight Feast – a great addition to any Halloween loving crafter’s arsenal of stamps.  (Side note:  I’m combining my preview with the Waltzingmouse Stamp Sketch Challenge)

Using this sketch, I created this bewitching card, just in time for a midnight ride across the spooky skies.

My project begins with a card base Pure Luxury Smokey Slate that I sponged on a spider web design using a Tim Holtz mask and my blending tool. My witch image is stamped in black onto yellow cardstock and punched then layered onto another image from the set and die cut with my large Pinking Circles Nestabilities.

I created the three swirls using a Sizzix die to cut this wonderful Retro Black Glossy Lustre paper.  It has just enough shine and contrast to show up well against the dark card base.

Here is a closer look at the bewitching medallion – given some dimension with the use of foam pop dots.

I added the sentiment to the interior of my project, rather than bulk up the front.  I attached the image onto a few layers of cardstock glued together and topped with some stripped patterned paper.By-the-Light-of-the-Moon-In

Now – for the fun news I have to share.  The Waltzingmouse Stamps family is growing and we are so happy to welcome Mona Pendleton into our Design Team Group.  In addition to serving on the WMS Design Team, Mona is also currently a SCS Dirty Dozen Team member as well as a current member of the Spellbinders Design Team.  Mona is one busy lady, and we are all thrilled to have her join us!

Speaking of busy ladies…are you ready to see some more WMS preview inspiration?  Check out what these DT members have for you!
