Friends of Waltzingmouse Stamps Blog Waltz – July 2010

Hi and welcome!  Today, I'm participating in the Friends of Waltzingmouse Stamps Blog Waltz.  This month we have a color theme...the colors of summer - shades of greens and blues.  Today’s festivities begin in the Play Room in the Waltzingmouse House forum. (If you haven't registered yet for the forum, it's just a few clicks away and takes only a second to check in!)  The thread is live so let the waltz begin!

To add some excitement to this Waltz, there will be a free stamp set of choice randomly awarded (which always makes it a little more fun) to the lucky winner!  Another winner will be chosen from those who correctly guess the number of special symbols hidden within the Design Team’s projects. You can enter your guess/calculations in the chat thread for the Waltz on the Waltzingmouse House forum. (see link above).

As you waltz along, you will see this logo letting you know that you are at a participating blog. Friends of WMS July Blog Waltz Graphic

I wish I could take credit for the layout design that I used for my project today, but I know that I saw it on line somewhere, although I cannot recall where or by whom. (shame on me, bad blogger) Using Sewing Box Hugs I stamped the flower onto green and blue cardstock and then trimmed the layers, attaching them with foam dimensional adhesive.  I thought the Material Girl paper from Cosmo Cricket was just the right touch for the stitching theme.

Thanks-so-Much-JulyWaltz201I used an Ornare piercing template to create the scalloped piercing along the top and bottom of the blue panel and the scissor shaped brad was just the right touch and I was happy to actually use it since I've had it in my stash for a couple of years.  Doesn't it make you feel good when you can actually use stuff you have been hording for a while? =)

Are you ready to waltz on?  If you haven’t been to the Play Room (link above), be sure to waltz over and check out all the awesome creations from the Friends of Waltzingmouse Stamps.  Thanks for stopping by today.

So, so pretty. I absolutely love the little pair of scissors you added to the sentiment. The ric-rack at the bottom is a lovely effect-such a pretty blue. Great layout too - It doesn't matter that you don't remember whose it was - I think anyone would be proud to have you use their layout!!
