Come Waltz with the Waltzingmouse Stamps’ Design Team

Hey there crafty people.  Today’s the day – Waltzingmouse Stamps’ August Release…a few days earlier than Claire’s normal release dates. (lucky us!)  If you have arrived here along the “Waltz” from the blog of Laurie Schmidlin blog, then you are right on track.  If you just happened along and landed here first, then you will definitely want to begin at Claire’s blog to get all the details on the Waltz as well as possibly win a great treat just for YOU!Potion-BottlesI had the best time playing with this new set and using these Potion Bottles to create some spooking home decor all ready for the bewitching season.  The liquid in these bottles aren’t for drinking because they are dye ink reinkers and water.  I could have used food coloring, but I wasn’t getting the color shades I wanted so I just grabbed the reinkers.  Using three of the label images from Wanda’s Pantry, I stamped them onto sticker paper then cut out and distressed them with distress inks.  .

Vampire-Blood This bottle started with my mixing a concoction of Glossy Accents and red reinkers that I applies to the top of the bottle and let it drip down the sides creating a permanent spooking look to this bottle of vampire blood.

I broke out some old, and I’m talking DECADES old, sealing wax with the only sealing wax stamp I own to seal the edges of this velvet ribbon to the bottle front.  I topped the cork with a jeweled button I had in my stash.  All the bottle corks were aged by using my Copic spray gun and a dark gray Copic marker.

Witches-BrewWanda’s Witch’s Brew was just calling for a few extra ingredients like a few googlie eyes and one plastic spider.  I crumpled the label to add to the aged look of this bottle of potion as well as air brushing the white tulle turning it from stark white to old gray.

Love-PotionI hope you enjoyed my project as much as I enjoyed creating it.  If you are traveling along the waltz, let me encourage you to pop on over to Mona Pendleton’s blog for your next step along the Waltzing path.

As this post goes live, I’m in Chicago attend CHA.  I hope to have some great pictures of new product that catches my eye in the days ahead.  Thanks for stopping by today.
