Bling Me Baby – a PCP/IHP Challenge

Today we have a really special blog hop and challenge going on all around Paper Craft Planet! It's all about BLING! You can call it paper make-up, jewelry, bling, whatever -- it's that little bit of glaze, glitter and glam that you add to your cards to give them that "finishing touch". The Supernovas are using the new Petal Press stamps, Summer Garden , for our projects from i{heart}papers and we'll show you just how versatile one stamp set can be! Here's my card - Flowers-in-a-Jar-IHP-071110

My card uses a combination of techniques. Using my Labels 10 Nestabilities, I die cut the larger size in red and two of the smaller sizes; one in Ivory cardstock and the other on heavy acrylic. I actually cut up a clear box for this piece.

The “bling” part of my card is the fun Zva Creative flourish at the bottom of my card. Originally clear crystals, I colored them with Copic markers to better go with my design theme. If you count the Stickles and Glossy Accents as “bling” then that creates a triad of blingy goodness! Flowers-in-a-Jar-CU1IHP-071Using StazOn Jet Black ink, I stamped the vase bottom on the acrylic. After a little drying time, I flipped the image and colored the back side with Sharpie markers. Then, turning it back to the front side, I added a thick layer of Glossy Accents to create the shiny look of water.

The flower portion was stamped onto Ivory cardstock and cut out, colored with a combination of Copic markers and Stickles and applied to the top of the acrylic piece adhering it with a foam pop dot. It was behind these flowers that I attached a hidden, small glue dot to hold the acrylic piece to the Ivory cardstock.

OK, now it's your turn! Make a card with a lot of dazzle and you could win the new Petal Press stamps, Summer Garden, from i{heart}papers. All you need to do is tag your card "iheartbling" and upload it to the Planet. There will be an album for everyone to shows off all the entries! Looking for some inspiration? Check out what the other Supernovas made!

I appreciate you taking the time to stop by today.  I hope you are inspired to play along with the challenge and a chance to win free stamps!  Until next time, have a fantastically crafty day.

This is soooo pretty Lynn!

It is those seemingly little touches that make a card so special, and you have several of them on this one! I love the added glossy accents for the water in the vase and the dimension that you gave the roses!

Thank you for sharing your talent with us!
Have a wonderful week!
