Zva Creative Design Team Blog Hop for June!

Are you ready to be inspired? As you may know, I am a proud design team member for Zva Creative. We are joining together today to share a project that we have created using some of our favorite Zva Creative products.

I am hoping that you will take some time to join us for a little bit of fun! The Blog Hop begins at Kim Hughes' blog. She will have the complete list of all blogs that are participating in case there is a glitch along the way. If you would like to play along, I am linking to one of the Zva designers and that designer is linking to the next and so on. There are 19 design team members, so be prepared to be inspired along the way.

Hidden on 5 of the blogs is a Zva Creative prize package! Woot-Woot!  Those blogs will be randomly chosen after the hop is over. This Blog Hop runs through midnight, US Eastern Standard Time on Tuesday, June 29th and the 5 winners will be announced on Wednesday, June 30th on each of the winning blogs.  A full list of winners will be found on Kim Hughes‘s blog (linked above). We will do our best to notify each winner, but it's best if you can hop by all of the blogs once again on Wednesday.  As an added bonus you are sure to find all kinds of inspirational creation on every stop of the hop. All you need to do is leave a comment on this Zva Blog Hop post...you do not need to leave a comment on each and every designer's blog post to qualify. The more times you leave a comment along the blog hop path though, the better chance you will have to be one of the lucky winners.

For my blog hop project this month, I finally got around to altering a cute scalloped edge chipboard box that I have had sitting on my craft table for quite some time.  I’ve had it so long that I can’t recall where I bought it, but I instantly knew I had to have it, and it would make a perfect project to showcase some awesome Zva Creative product.

I began by priming the chipboard and painting the box with yellow acrylic paint.  I covered the lid with patterned paper from Pink Paislee called Queen Bee that I got from i{heart}papers.  From there I just had a grand time adding wonderful bling and flowers from Zva Creative.  While it’s difficult to see, I spritzed all the flowers with a coat of Sheer Shimmer Spritz Sparkle for a little added sparkle.

The lovely flourish behind the flowers and the butterfly body are this lovely shade of light taupe that coordinated so well with this patterned paper.  The tail of the vellum butterfly is from the Artisan Elements from Pink Paisley that I inked with a glimmer mist…the same glimmer mist that I spritzed on the bottom portion of the box.

I wish you could see the beautiful shimmer that the glimmer mist gives the finish of this box.  Before adding a few individual pearls, I punched the same patterned paper into flourishes.
