WMS Sketch Challenge

Hi busy crafters.  Is your summer flying by as quickly as mine seems to be?  Is it possible that it’s the middle of JUNE???  How did that happen? When did that happen?  MAKE IT STOP! =)

I’m happy to share with you a project that I created for today’s Waltzingmouse Stamps Sketch Challenge.  It would just tickle me if you would play along too.  Using Waltzingmouse Stamps is not required to play along with the challenges, but we would love it if you did. Claire has offered to sweeten the pot from time to time by offering a prize for the most inspirational project.  Just create a project using the sketch design below and then upload your project to your blog or online gallery (please use the keyword/tag of WMSC3 when you upload to a gallery)  and then visit the Waltzingmouse Stamps Challenge Blog and leave a post with a link to your project.  You have until next Thursday, June 24th at 11:59 pm Eastern Time to post your link. So if you are ready, here is the sketch for this week!

June-19-2010-sketch As with any sketch, I use it as my springboard to creativity, feeling free to flip or invert the elements so that I can make the project my own.  I have done that here with this project, flipping the sketch on its side and placing the panel a little more left than right.

Wishing-You-BlessingsMy project today uses images from Spring Baskets with my focal image being paper pieced from various patterned papers. I shaded my urn using Koh-i-noor pencils, blending with Gamsol.

Wishing-You-Blessings-CU

The cute little butterfly was white, but wanted it to blend with the ribbon and other light aqua accents so with my trusty Copic marker, I colored it to match in 5 seconds!  I attached some lovely blingy Zva Creative Crystal accents to my button and as an accent to the lower right corner.

The ribbon is a combination of some brown lace ribbon from i {heart} papers and a piece of lovely grosgrain ribbon from one of Taylored Expressions Key Ingredient kits.

So what are you waiting for?  Why not try your hand at this fun sketch and join in the challenge?

Thanks again for popping in!
