Where Hope Grows

When Gina K Designs had her last release, I had a card that I didn’t post.  I originally created two projects from the Hope Grows stamp set and chose to use the other card for my preview post.  I did want to share this project, however because I love this set and this elegant bird.

Bloom I created this birdhouse using a Sizzix die, cutting twice – one using the green wood grain patterned paper and again using Chocolate Brown (which looks black in this photo – sorry).  This house was adhered on the card base of Pure Luxury Ivory  where I had stamped the various sized leaves.

The sentiment was stamped and a decorative edge die cut with Spellbinder's Shapabilities that I also used as a stencil for the color.

I stamped a few leaves as well as this lovely bird, then trimmed them and adhered them with mini pop dots. To finish off the corner, I applies two buds and one blossom flower from Zva Creative which are accented with a small organdy ribbon.

My stamp space is all but totally dismantled and I’ll have some pictures to share later this weekend.  I’m totally amazed at the sheer quantity of supplies that I have collected.  At the moment our dining room looks like those houses they show on television of people who hoard.  It’s totally unsettling, but I do have the knowledge that it won’t be forever – it will only FEEL that way.

It has recently become apparent to me that I could go for years without buying anything but adhesive, and still have plenty of products. Of course I’m a big sucker for new stuff and that is what keeps me buying…it certainly isn’t for lack of supplies.  Do you think that is what the crafting industry is counting on?

Thank you so much for popping in today.  Have a fantastic weekend.
