Thinking of Ewe (I mean YOU)

Hi crafters.  My craft room is under attack – hit by an onslaught of construction people, hammers, saws and a flurry of activity.  Instead of somewhat organized chaos, I just have chaos.  After two years of planning and saving money, the permits are in and construction is ready to begin.  While I’m totally excited about having a new improved craft space, along with other basement improvements, I’m not looking forward to the mess and the total disheveled stacks of boxes, both in my dining room, and in the garage, containing all of my crafting “stuff”.  I kept packing boxes, and more supplies appeared.  I will definitely be doing some purging of stuff that I won’t be using.  There is no use in hanging onto stuff that I’ll never use.  BUT, the supplies that I used for my project today will NOT be among the discarded stash.  I’m so totally loving this paper and embellishments.

Thinking-of-You

After my 5 days of visiting with my daughter and being away from my studio (I use that term lightly as I have never considered my dungeon basement space “a studio”), I was happy to do a little creating, even if I did have to look through several different boxes to find what I was looking for.  I could hardly wait to ink up my two sets from the Mint Motif line – Very Square and Very Square Sentiments by Kimberly Crawford and carried at i{heart}papers. I stamped the cloud background that served as a mat for my Farm Fresh journaling tag.

The journaling tag made the perfect place to stamp the sentiment.

Thinking-of-You-CUThe chipboard butterflies are the most adorable product, and I love that each cut out piece has a matching background piece so that if desired, they may be layered, like I’ve done here.  I inked up the base layer and the top layer in another color and then spritzed the entire thing with Silver Sheer Shimmer Spritz.  The flight trail and single bling are Zva Creative crystals.

I thought this might be a nice card to send to my daughter…I know I’ve only been home a few days, but it was just long enough to make me keenly aware of how much I dislike being so far away from her.  I didn’t think I’d ever stop the tears at the airport. I’m such a sentimental mom.

Well, that’s it for today.  I’m happy you decided to stop by today – I hope you are too! =)

I was crying too after you left, my big sunglasses hid them well. I'm sorry you were crying alone in the airport, Mom. I love & miss you already!

Beautiful card Lynn! Love that butterfly, and that ewe is adorable!
My mint stamps are on their way soon i hope and I can't wait to get them!
I am glad that you have your "studio" project under way, it will help distract you from being away from your daughter! I think I would be the same way! Mine are still at home (26 & 27), and everytime my youngest starts to talk about moving out I have a panic attack inside!lol

Blessings and Hugs to you!
