It’s Sketch Challenge Time on PCP

I’m happy to be hosting today’s Sketch Challenge on Paper Craft Planet. I always find that sketches really jump start my process and releases the creativity.  If you have never participated in the Paper Craft Planet’s Sketch Challenge, there is no better time than today.  There are tons of sketches available for you with new ones every Saturday.  Click here to see ALL the sketches from previous weeks.  The challenges are always open for you to play along.

Using the sketch below, I created my sample card.

SK061210-sketchMy card is an 8 X 4” card with a base of Pure Luxury Kraft with layers of Chocolate Brown and Teal.  This project uses an images from Say it with Flowersa set from Our Craft Lounge. I used the flower grouping to create the background panel, stamping with Teal pigment ink onto Ivory cardstock.

Blooming-Wonderful-sk061210The diamond dry embossed pattern was done with an embossing folder from Quickutz and I highlighted each intersection with some nail head-self adhesive bling that I had.  The trio of flowers were created with some fun glitter sheets from i{heart}papers.  I punched them out and attached these wonderfully covered brads from Zva Creative.

Blooming-Wonderful-CUsk0612I added a little felt border that I die cut using the Ric Rac Diamond border die from Spellbinders.

So I hope that you enjoy my card – so much so that you want to create a card of your own using the sketch.

Thanks for looking in today! Have a fantastic day!!!
