Friends of Waltzingmouse Stamps Blog Waltz for June

Hi crafty friends.  You are in for a treat today as we waltz along from blog to blog featuring Waltzingmouse Stamp images and patterns.  The theme this month is Let's hear it for the boys... masculine cards/projects!

Today’s festivities begin in the Play Room in the Waltzingmouse House forum. (If you haven't registered yet for the forum, it's just a few clicks away!)   At 9:00 AM Central Time, the thread went live so let the waltz begin!

To add some excitement for this Waltz, which always makes it a little more fun, there is a free stamp set of choice awarded randomly for those who correctly state the number of special watermarks found on the Design Team (and Claire's) cards/projects!  You can enter your guess/calculations in the chat thread for the Waltz on the Waltzingmouse House forum. (see link above).

As you waltz along, you will see this logo letting you know that you are on the right track!

Now – for my project I chose to use, in my opinion, Claire’s most masculine set, Free Spirit Boy and Free Spirit Sentiment.

Proud-of-YOU-full

I created the background for my chipboard letters by applying Distress Inks, Faded Jeans and Peeled Paint directly onto my non-stick craft sheet and spritzing with water before I drug my cardstock through the puddles.  Once I had a great mottled design, I stamped the circle image in black on top.  I trimmed the squares  and mounted them all on Pure Luxury Night of Navy cardstock.

Proud-of-YOU-CUI applied Peeled Paint inks to each of the chipboard letters and applied each one to it’s own rectangle.

I had my own son in mind when I created this card, and may just send it to him in honor of father’s day.  When your children are growing up, you go through trials and at times with strained relationships, you wonder how things will all turn out.  I’m lucky that Brian turned out wonderfully, being a good dad to his two daughters and a loving husband to his wife.  Yes, I really am very proud of him.  He deserves to know it too!

So now you are ready to waltz on.  If you haven’t been to the Play Room (link above), be sure to waltz on over and check out all the awesome creations from the Friends of Waltzingmouse Stamps.

I am really liking the effect that occurred when you just put the cardstock through the puddles. I just might need to try that! Very nice guy look!
