TESC107 - Puppy Love

I hope that you had a wonderful Easter weekend.  It was a three day weekend for me, and I’m really glad because I needed the extra time off to get caught up on a few things, and while we did get some rain on Saturday, the clouds rolled away and gave way to beautiful sunshine for a perfect Easter and fun family gathering.  What an awesome way to end a fantastic weekend.

With the activities of last week, I found myself a bit behind in my crafting schedule.  Sometimes life has to take priority over crafting, which is only right.  I did fine a little time over the busy Easter weekend to squeeze in some crafting time, and am back on schedule.

The card I want to share with you today was actually due last Friday, but since I had started my card, but didn’t complete it on time, I wanted to finish the project and post it before another day got away from me.  I based my project on this sketch from Taylored Expressions:

I found this adorable A la Carte image, Scotties In Love from Taylored Expressions.  I bought this image at CHA and actually forgot I had it until I was looking through my stamps for this project.  Not only was I happy that I could use a totally neglected stamp, but I was also able to use some other much neglected elements, such as rub-ons and stickers.

I stamped the Scottie image twice, once on the Cream colored cardstock and again on a wood grain paper that I had in my stash, which I cut out and adhered atop my other image with foam dimensional dots to give it lift.  I punched a row of small circles along the stripped patterned paper and once adhered to the card base, I added a pearl inside each circle.

I  am happy that you popped in today, I wish I had something interesting to talk about, but I’m feeling a little “talked out” after the family get-together, where talking is all I did.  Hopefully, I won’t have issues this week that will keep me from participating on time with Taylor’s Sketch Challenge on Friday and by the next time I post, I think of something brilliant to chat about. (talk about pressure…lol)  Have a GRAND day!
