Say Hello to my Little Friend

There is a new love in my life.  No, I still love my husband, but who is to say you can’t love many? Uh, ok – before you all jump to any conclusions, let me introduce you to FRED. FRED is the creation of Aptus Designs through myscrapbuddy.com. FRED is an acronym that stands for “For Really Easy Designing”.

FRED was introduced to me by Paperclipping.com’s Noell Hyman.  As a crafter who spends many hours at her craft table, I’ve been prone to sore muscles, and generally a pain-in-the-neck, so when I saw this craft aid, I knew I needed one for hours of pain-free creating.

This 15 X 15” scrapping and crafting aid is a handmade wooden stand with removable magnetic boards that come with some REALLY heavy duty magnets so that you can arrange (and easily re-arrange) your layout or card design before adhering them permanently.  With this portable device sitting at an angle, it you are able to see your work without having to stand up and look down at your design as well as the ability to move the elements off your work table, allowing for more space to work.  I don’t know about you, but I can never have enough free space.

One or more FREDs can be connected together if you do a lot of double page layouts and you can even just buy more than one magnetic boards so that you can work on more than one project at a time.  Tired of working on one layout and are inspired to layout a different page?  No problem, just lift the magnetic board out and set it aside, place the other one in, and away you go.
