A Lovely Day

The past few days in the St. Louis area have been a springtime wonderland.  Warm balmy temperatures, tulips peaking their colorful heads from their green cocoons, birds chirping a cheerful song – flittering from tree to tree – the sight is a dream come true after the long cold and brutal winter.  I believe that springtime is our reward for enduring winter, and the reward is so very sweet. My project today is a tribute to spring.  Full of movement and color.

With a card base of burgundy I die cut a piece of chipboard and sprayed it with Glimmer Mist that gave it a wonderful shimmer.  Upon that I layered a piece of cardstock that I embossed with a Cuttlebug Embossing folder and inked the edges before adhering a flower/flourish from Zva Creative.  The flower at the top is also a Zva Creative product that I painted with Glimmer Mist and then applied glitter to a few of the petals before gluing it to a burgundy ribbon

The burgundy and yellow floral studded butterfly is also from Zva Creative – isn’t it lovely?
