Life is Fabulous – Yes, even on Tax Day!

Happy April 15th.  It’s a day that many a tax payer anticipates with fear and dread in these great United States.  Each year we know it’s coming and, just like death, there isn’t much we can do about it except to accept the inevitable and try to look at the bright side, right?  Life is fabulous - this is my mantra.  Repeating these words over and over has a way of putting a brighter spin on an otherwise dreary day. 

This week at work has been a bear.  It’s not often that I say this, but I work in a tax department of a corporation and I just have to say that it’s been one l-o-n-g week and it ain’t over yet.  Even in the fury of frustration called “my job”, I can still claim that life is fabulous. 

For my card that I’m sharing today, I started with this die cut patterned paper with these adorable owls.  I used only a section of this 12 X 12 sheet and layered it on a bit of wine colored cardstock before attaching it to a base of Crème de Menthe Pure Luxury cardstock.  I added the butterfly, adorned with Zva Creative pearls and spritzed with Shimmer Spritz Sparkle spray.  I added a pierced line from the butterfly to simulate movement.

I love this sentiment, and only wish the word WHO was a little bigger typeface so that it could play off the owl theme. =) 

So, with the worst of the 2010 tax season basically behind me, I’m free to fuhgetabouit and embrace the joy of life.  Are you ready to embrace life?  Awesome – let’s go!
