Gina K Designs’ April Preview – Day 4

It’s been quite a whirlwind week of fantastic previews from Gina K and the Design Team.  With this our last day of previews, we are all getting ready for the big release party that will be happening tomorrow night on Stamp TV.  I hope you will join us for the fun. Are you ready for a little pre-party fun?  Good.

I’m trying out a new feature of Live Writer – this album feature where I can combine 3 photos in one picture, but yet enable you to see be able to click for close up views. I hope it works like I want to.  This project was created using Nina Brackett’s Vintage Backgrounds.  I took the text of this set and stamped it with VersaMark onto sticky backed canvas and embossed it with clear embossing powder and then sponged on Old Paper Distress ink making the text really pop.  I used a die cut butterfly as a mask and sponged some Shabby Shutters ink to create the image.  The lace image along the top was embossed with Sea Foam white embossing powder.  The chipboard frame was painted with Shabby Shutters crackle paint.  I added a pearl flourish from Prima to pull attention to the sentiment inside the frame.

The sentiments says: Time is too slow for those who wait, too long for those who fear, too long for those who grieve, too short for those who rejoice, but for those who love, time is eternity. It’s a rub-on that I applied to acetate and adhered beneath the frame.  The images from this set are just wonderful…I can’t wait for you to see the rest of the images.

To-my-HusbandIf there is any area of my stamp collection that needs some attention, it’s the images and sentiments geared toward the men in my life.  Gina must have known this because her Masculine Messages set fills the manly sentiment gap in my arsenal.

When it comes to cards for men, I try to keep it simple and while it is difficult for me, I try to also keep the embellishments to a minimum. Images such as stripes and stars are always pretty safe bets so I went with those for this project.  I’m fairly certain that my husband will like it.

Designers Participating in Previews tonight:

Don’t forget about the release party.  There will be challenges, contest questions, chatter, as well as tons of samples from the Design Team members from 7-10 (central time) all leading to the new products being available in Gina K's online store at 10 p.m.

GREAT cards, Lynn! That first one is spectacular, and I love the feature that allows you to post three pictures together like that! I have heard good things about Live Writer but have never had time to try it out. Now maybe I just will!
