Are you old enough to remember the song by Ray Stevens, Everything is Beautiful? I’m sure it’s running though your head, and quite possibly may be for the duration of the day. It’s just one of those songs that’s easy to hum and sing. This song is what I though of as I was assembling my card for today’s Taylored Expressions Sketch Challenge.
Taylor sent us this fun sketch and I actually turned it upside down for my project.
I was inspired to use the rectangle element from Taylor’s sketch and creating and elevated window. It’s not a traditional window card because the window doesn’t go through the front of the card, but rather is elevated from the front layer of the card base revealing the sentiment.
I adored the front panel of the card with plenty of Zva goodness using a wonderful pearl flourish and 3 sweet little flowers. I did add just a little enhancement to the roses by spraying them with Pssst! Shimmer Spray Sparkle.
I’m quickly using up the remainder of my Parisian Breeze patterned paper. I have to say that this is my all time favorite paper from SU! I don’t even think you can get it any longer, but I’m not hording it, but rather using up every tiny bit and scrap. It’s just too pretty NOT to use.
Ok, I hope you are ready to play along. All you need to do is create a project using the sketch above as your inspiration. Be sure to visit the Taylored Expressions blog and submit your card link to Mister Linkey. She will choose her top ten "Top Crops" and feature them on her blog next week. That could be you!! Need a little more inspiration? Make sure and stop by the rest of the Sketch Crews blogs to see their creations.
It's always fun to check out the various interpretation of the sketch by other members of the TE Sketch Crew because they each have their own style that they bring every week to their creations. I hope you will take a moment and stop by and see what they have posted to inspire you:
and Lori Craig
and don't forget Taylor!
I was planning to go to Collinsville, IL on Saturday and attend the Creating Keepsake’s Convention, but since I can’t find anyone to go with me, I may just save my money and stay home. Do you want to go along with me??? =) I would go by myself, but going to those kind of events with a friend is always so much more fun. I guess I’ll make up my mind at the last minute. =)
Thank you for stopping by and spending a little time with me. Until next time, enjoy your day.
