Come Waltz with Waltzingmouse Stamps

The day has finally arrived…it’s the release of Claire’s, a/k/a Waltzingmouse Stamps, release of two great sets; Free Spirit-Boy and Free Spirit Sentiments.  These sets really fills a void in my stamp collection with its fun and hip masculine images and sayings.

If you are just starting this waltz, please begin at Claire’s Blog and follow the “dance card” as you waltz your way through the list of Design Team designers who have worked up some wonderfully creative projects.  If you have arrived from Bonnie Sharp’s blog then you have waltzed your way right into my project! Welcome.

Cowabunga-Dude

I’m feeling rather tropical with this project today.  On kraft cardstock I stamped the circular  image and then once the ink was completely dry, I sanded the image to give it a more distressed look (a trick I learned to “man up” a card…lol)  I also stamped the two cute little surf boards and tropical flowers onto cardstock and patterned paper.

The sentiment is from the Free Spirit Sentiment set which is PACKED full of great sentiments for that guy (big or little) in your life. I stamped it onto a surf board die cut from the Spellbinder’s Surf’s Up Limited Edition Shapeabilities.  I found this on the Uban Dictionary site about the word Cowabunga:  Originating as a greeting by Chief Thunderthud (the only Indian ever to have a moustache) to the Peanut Gallery on the 50's television program "The Howdy Doody Show", the term was later adopted by surfers in the 60's.  It’s an expression of surprise or amazement, often followed by "dude".  Totally…lol

I’m sure that if you are in the market for a little masculine project inspiration, you will find plenty of it today. Remember that waltzing along and leaving comments will better your chances of winning a great prize offering from Waltzingmouse Stamps.  Two winners will be selected – one from Claire’s blog and one from comments left at an undisclosed Design Team member’s blog.  So, if you are ready for the music to begin again, you may waltz along to the next Design Team member, Julia Aston!

Thank you for looking in today!
