Now THAT’S Eggciting

With Easter only a couple of weeks away, it’s time to get into full throttle with the Easter cards.  I used the Nested Eggs stamps from Waltzingmouse Stamps and attached it on a tilt as if it’s resting against the beaded flower stem.  I don’t have the Egg Nestabilities that this stamp set coordinates so well with, but I easily cut around the oval leaving a small Ivory border.

The text background is stamped on Pure Luxury Kraft with distressed edges.  Beneath the egg is two different Zva Creative Flourishes.  With a few of the left over pearls I attached them to the egg and a tiny row along the lace of the sentiment.

Zva Creative also sell the most amazing flowers.  These three flowers were painted with Glimmer Mist and then a thin layer of glue and coordinating glitter sprinkled on top for  little drama and a nice mix of elegance and whimsy. I snipped each flower from it’s stem and attached it with Zip Dry adhesive.

I love Easter, not only for the obvious celebration of the blessed resurrection, but how it comes at a time when the sleepy earth is awakening from it’s winter slumber.  The early spring flowers are peeking up from the bare ground, the lawns and hillsides are turning greener by the day and the promise of warmer weather is ever present.  Yes, Easter is a blessed time of year.  I hope you are feeling the blessings of this spring time celebration.
