One very sweet memory I have of my childhood Easters were the grand dresses, new lacy anklets, white Patten leather Mary Jane shoes, white gloves and tiny matching handbag all topped with a white Easter hat with a matching ribbon band than hung down the back. Oh my, but I felt stylish as I attended church in all my new duds. No other time of year was there so much attention to detail paid on the Sunday ensemble. It was a glorious day indeed. I guess I don’t remember when the Easter hats were replaced by bunny ears, but I still think this image is just so adorable.
This card was created using the sketch #2 for Our Craft Lounge. I’m obvious late with this creation, but wanted to go with it anyway. I’ve had this set for a year, and got it late in the season so I didn’t have a chance to use it then, so finally, I put some ink to it and made this, my last Easter card of THIS season. Don’t you just love her bunny ears?
The flowers are Color Me Crazy Floral Surfaced by Pataloo and they are white when you buy them. They are wonderful palette for either Copic Markers or in this case I used Glimmer Mist that I painted using a paint brush. Once dry, I applied some white craft glue around the petal edges and dipped them into chunky glitter. The crystals come on the flowers so once painted and glittered, they are ready to go! Perfect flowers in the perfect colors all the time, when I need them. What could be better than that?
I’m so happy you stopped by today!
