Hi everyone. We made it to Tuesday, and the good news today is that it isn’t Monday any longer! I also have a card to share and some blog candy to give away, so I hope you are interested in both topics. I’ll post my card first and then we can get to the goodies that I have up for grabs.
Today’s card all about friendship…and what better way to bond a little than over a cup of coffee? It sounds like the best blend of perfection to me. I used images from the Life is Fabulous Stampin’ Store kit, available from i{heart}papers. With a card base of Blue Bayou Textured cardstock, I layered pieces of patterned paper from Cosmo Cricket’s Early Bird collection with the image stamped onto Kraft cardstock.
I created three flower embellishments that mimic the flower patterns in the papers and finished the card off with some funky pleated silk ribbon.
Ok, now it’s time for a give away. You may have read my post yesterday about how sad I am to tell you about Molly Stamps going out of business. Well, in an effort to reduce inventory, Russ send me an envelope full of stamps and miscellaneous items that I get to pass onto you. So here is what I have up for grabs.
Up for grabs is one Palette Noir Black ink pad, a Tim Holtz Tonic Retractable Craft Knife, a Sakura Quickie Glue Pen, 3 sets of Molly’s Let’s Get Together, 2 sets of Out of This World, one set of Wings on Things Small and one set of Post Office.
If you would like a chance to be one of 8 winners, please leave a comment on this post and you could be one of the random winners. I will draw and announce the winners on my blog this Saturday. It is important that I have some way to contact you, so be sure that I either have an e-mail address or a way to get in touch with you.
And now for a moment in Women’s History: Are you aware that March is Women’s History Month? Are you also aware the just this past Sunday at the 82nd Academy Awards, another woman made history? That’s right, Kathryn Bigelow won the Oscar for Directing The Hurt Locker. This is the first time a woman has taken the Best Director title. Way to go!
I’m so very happy you decided to stop by today! Until next time – have a fantastic day!

Hopefully another door will open for Molly - so much talent! Thanks, Lynn, for the chance to win one of these items - I dearly love the out of this world stamp, as my 2 year old grandson is ALL about aliens and planets.

s great there is another "glass ceiling" that finally got broken. I haven't seen the movie itself, those type of films never make it to the rural areas. I will have to wait till Netflix gets it.
Your card is great--I have been using Kraft paper more and more these days. Have a great rest of the week. Dar

I love your card! Beautiful colors!
It's so sad to hear about a business closing, but certainly understandable in today's economy. What a generous candy. Thanks for the opportunity to win!
Great card, Lynn!!! Please thank Russ for passing along the candy!!! I know times are tough economically but I know in my heart that their products are beautiful and would have had a chance to be a hit if it weren't for the economy.
Great card, Lynn!!!! Please extend to Russ our thanks for donating such wonderful candy!!! If it hadn't been for the economy, we would continue to enjoy their wonderful products.

I hear you on the Monday thing.
I ADORE this card... those are some of my favorite papers, and i love the style.
And, yes, I thought it was truly wonderful for a woman to win Best Director! I want to see the movie, but then again I don't. I don't do well with violence and suspense. Give me a light romantic comedy any day. What a wimp!
It's too bad that the store is closing. It is always hard to see yet another business struggle due to the economy... or for any reason. Thanks for the chance to win the prize. That's a really nice thing for them to do.
Hope I'm not too late to get in the drawing for the Molly stamps, etc. I was visiting the Birthday blog for StampTV and wanted to look at more of your work. All very nice. TFS
