Waltzingmouse Stamps Previews – Spring Basket

Hi all – I’m so happy to share a card that I created using a new set, Spring Basket, that Waltzingmouse Stamps will release THIS Thursday along with three other brand new stamps sets.

God's-Basket

I just adore this new set by Claire mainly because of it’s versatility.  While we may think of eggs and baskets at Easter, with verses like this, it’s easy to create a card that will be words of encouragement to someone who may be a little “down”.  This set contains many verses that make it easy to fit many occasions.  You are going to love the other images this set contains that look so awesome placed within this and other basket options.

I stamped the image and used my Nestabilities to cut the circle and then used the Nesty as a mask for my airbrush giving color around the outside.  I scored a series of lines on each edge using my new Scor-Buddy (getting a prototype from CHA is a perk of working the booth *wink*).  From there I layered Prisma paper and Pure Luxury White with some added stitching and tied with some satin ribbon.

I really love this verse because it’s a reminder that in those times when we have lost our faith, or are feeling abandoned, you have to give it all to God and let Him carry the load for us.  By letting go and giving it over to God, we are free from the worries because our faith  is that we no longer have to carry the burden, but only hand them over to Him.  I stamped the verse onto white cardstock die cut with Fancy Tag die from Spellbinders and airbrushed for color.

If you haven’t been to Belinda, Laurie, Anya or Julia’s blogs, be sure to stop by because they have been showing previews of Claire’s new sets all week.  Lisa also has an amazing project to share with you today.  And to top off the festivities on Thursday,  the Waltzingmouse Design Team will hold a blog hop with prizes available so stay tuned!

Thank you for taking a moment from your day to take a look at my post.

Absolutely lovely, Lynn! I love the soft look of this card, and the touch of stitching. Do I spy some scoring work with the Scor-Buddy? Oh, I agree wholeheartedly with the sentiment and your thoughts.
