Is it Spring Yet?

On an intellectual level, I understand that each season lasts approximately 3 months.  So tell me – why does it seem that winter will never end?  The long dark winter months really take their toll on my emotional energy. With what seems like minutes after I get home from work, it’s dark and it stays that way until I pull out of my driveway heading to work the next morning.  That’s just not right and it’s dreadful lingering seems to suck the life right from me.

If I could have the world just the way I wished, it would be a world that was in a perpetual state of S-P-R-I-N-G!  The warming days that bring forth the rebirth of the sleepy landscape is the most energizing time of the year for me.  I not only open the windows to my home, but the windows to my soul; they are swung wide open to breath in the fresh air of the budding future full of possibilities.

Well, since the sight I see on my landscape is snow covered and the temperatures are far from warm, the only spring I’m experiencing are those created in my mind and on the projects I made.  Thank heaven for past memories and imagination.

Zva-Flowers-&-Butterflies-0

With some Unity flowers and springtime colors I can almost smell the aroma of fresh cut grass and feel the breeze that lifts the butterflies from their winter nap.  I’m so ready for Spring…how about you?

Thanks for popping in today and I hope that where ever you live, it’s a beautiful day…even if there is snow on the ground!

Hi, Lynn,
Love your card and your blog.
Thanks for sharing your wonderful creations.
Have you ever been tested for SAD?
Seasonal Affective Disorder is very treatable- I know from experience. Sounds to me like you
might want to do some looking into it.
