Gina K Designs February Preview, Day 1-Hope is Faith

What greater hope can man have in mankind than the faith that within each of use lies a person ready, willing and able to help in time of need?  We have all been there, right…at the moment or time in our life when a kind word or helping hand can mean the different in us losing our faith, or having it build us up.  It is that preverbal helping hand that is behind this set previewing today as one of the newest sets to be released by Gina K Designs this coming Thursday, Hope is Faith.  It is a small set, but it has the potential to accomplish great things.

The Hope is Faith mini stamp set retails for $9.95 and was created to raise money for the Red Cross to help with the devastation in Haiti. $2.00 from every purchase of this stamp set will be sent directly to the American Red Cross throughout the month of February.

As the first responders to disasters around the world, the American Red Cross is there to help provide the basic needs of people who have suffered so much. By purchasing this mini set, you will help to make a difference to people who are desperate by supporting an organization that works tirelessly to feed, clothe, comfort and care for those in need.

The card I created uses both the images from this set.  On a card base of white and layered with black and Pure Luxury Creme de Menthe.  Using my new Scor-Buddy, I scored lines 1/8” apart before applying the panel of patterned paper.  I added some flowers to the punched leaves.

The butterfly was stamped onto Pure Luxury White cardstock and colored with a combination of Copic markers and Smooch Pearlized paint. I cut out the butterfly and attached it, along with the wire I fashioned for the antennae using it a pop glue dot to give it dimension and lift it off the page.
