Fleeting Memories

I just adore this sentiment from Unity’s February Stampin’ Store kit.  It’s so very true, and the older I get, the more apparent it becomes.  The simplest of experiences, the most innocent of occurrences become the memories of tomorrow.  Try not to let a moment go by that you aren’t aware of the splendor that it holds.  People can bring you joy, or they can cause you pain, but either way, the experience teaches you something…something about yourself, something about them, or just something about life and the way you look at it.

I created this card using images and papers that I got from i{heart}papers…including the Unity February Stampin’ Store kit that is chocked full of fantastic images. 

I started with a white card base of white and rounded the corners and adhered some patterned paper from Juliette Paper from SEI.  I added a piece of sticker trip also from SEI’s Cardstick Stickers.  Stamped the butterfly image from the Unity set and colored it with Copic Markers, cut it out and adhered two big glue dots behind each wing to pop them up and give them dimension.

As embellishments, I added a strip of lace and also adhered some sheer flowers attached with a glazed brad.
