I'm excited to be participating in another Zva Creative Blog Hop this fine Monday morning. This hop is especially thrilling because I get to share more wonderful new Zva products. Zva is introducing 100+ brand new crystal and pearl embellishment designs this coming Sunday when the Craft and Hobby Association begin their annual Winter Trade-Show in sunny California. If you are at the show, be sure to stop by the Zva Creative booth #2991 to see these and many other exciting new products for card making and scrapbooking. All designs have a fresh new look and are available in various popular color choices.
The Design Team is joining together today to share a project that we have created using the latest Zva Creative products that will be released at the winter CHA craft show. I am hoping that you will take some time to join us for a little bit of fun!
The Blog Hop begins at Kim Hughes' blog where she is linking to one of the Zva designers and that designer is linking to the next and so on. There are 12 design team members, so be prepared to be inspired along the way. Hidden on 5 of the blogs is a Zva Creative prize package! These special blogs will be randomly chosen after the hop is over, so it's important to leave a comment on as many blogs as you can along the way. Our team is so wonderfully diverse, so we are hoping that you will be inspired when you reach the end.
This Blog Hop runs through midnight on Tuesday, January 19th and the 5 winners will be announced on Wednesday, January 20th. We will do our best to notify each winner, but it's best if you can pop in to all of the blogs once again on Wednesday...plus, you never know what kind of inspirational creation that you may find there. All you need to do is leave a comment on this Zva Blog Hop post...you do not need to leave a comment on each and every designer's blog post to qualify, but the more locations you leave a comment along the blog hop path, the more chances you will have to be one of the lucky winners.
I love the dual colors of these swirled flourish and how wonderfully it matches the satin butterfly. The colors are soft and airy, just like a butterfly in flight.
This card size is a 4 X 8 and while this isn't a standard card size to use the loop border punch perfectly, there is "always more than one way to skin a cat". My Mom used to use that expression - but now that I see the phrase in print, I'm wondering how it EVER came to be used – was there someone that actually skinned cats and found more than one way to do it? Oh the horror…boy, did I ever wander off track!
With a little cut here and simple alignment coupled with strategically placed embellishments, I'm able to camouflage the points where the cut pieces meet - giving the allusion that it's all one mat. If you look closely, you’ll see that behind the panel of white I added a border of pink ric rak for a little contrast between the white and the blue.
I added a few Zva flowers at the edge of my sentiment which is mounted onto a mat stamped from Waltzingmouse Stamps Very Vintage Labels 4 set.
Are you ready for more? I know that I’m looking forward to seeing what the other Design Team members have to share. There are only a few days left before I leave for CHA where I’ll be able to see all of these projects in one location. Lucky for you…you don’t have to leave your seat to see these great projects…just follow along the hop and prepare to be amazed.
Now – to continue along the hop, please visit Becky Olsen’s blog for more awesome Zva goodness. Thanks so much for joining us today!
