The bags are all unpacked and most of the tidbits brought home from CHA are put away and so wanted to wrap up the CHA hype and share the images I have from the show. I’ll begin with the last card that I created for the Zva Creative booth. I just realized, and am kicking myself because I didn’t take ANY pictures of the Zva Creative booth. It looked AMAZING and had samples everywhere. I’m hoping that I find some pictures somewhere out there on the “net” to save for my scrapbook.
This sweet little bird comes fully assembled with several small branch type designs. I used some Two Scoops papers to create a little scene. Isn’t it “tweet”? I added some stitched twill and a negative piece of a heart shaped chipboard outlined with more bling.
In addition to all the fun stuff in the Zva booth, I have a few pictures of other things that caught my eye while cruising the isles.
I love the thick felt texture of these Petaloo products…flowers, alphabets and in stitched thick felt goodness.
If you decorate cakes or if you want to learn, the Cricut Cake by Provo Craft is just thing thing to step up your creative confection ability. If you’re not into cake decorating, be watching for something like this to hit a local bakery near you. While I was a little surprised to see something for the sweet lover in the midst of the paper crafting isles, I can see that Provo Craft is trying to widen its customer base.
Looking for some new Cricut cartridges to add to your collection? Here are five new one that should be hitting the shelves shortly.
Now THIS is more my style. Provo Craft has designed some new Cuttlebug folders that pack the extra punch of embossing in addition to their die cuts. I also loved the ability and versatility to be able to peel back the plastic folder and use the plate as a stencil as well.
Martha has some new folders. Some look very detailed and it will be interesting to see how well they work in the “real world”…as the message boards are full of complaints about Martha’s punches not performing as well as users would like. The ones I tried at the show worked well, and I totally loved the designs, but time will tell.
Some lovely eye candy by My Mind’s Eye – it’s their Lush Line, which really is quite luscious with papers, alphabets, brads, ribbons and bling!
For those of you who, like me, love their Scor-pal, but want something compact to easily tote around from here to there, the Scor-Buddy will be ready in April. Designed for card makers who asked for score lines a little closer, so Scor-Pal created this device with score lines 1/4 and 1/8” increments. With no right side fence, it still allows you to score papers wider than the base of the “buddy”. It’s lightweight, just like the original and ready to travel when you are.
That about does it for my CHA previews. I have to admit that for me, this trip to CHA was all about socializing. I probably visited with and met more people than I looked at products, but that’s ok. I had such a wonderful time hooking up with old friends and making new contacts and above all making some memories that will last a lifetime for me.
And are you ready for a little fun news!
Claire Brennan of Waltzingmouse Stamps is revealing 4 new stamp sets this Thursday 2/4! Each day starting Sunday two of the design team members will be having sneak peaks on their blogs and Claire will be having them everyday!
Until next time – have a wonderful day!
