Calendar Girl

If you were expecting to see some sexy pin-up girl, you’re going to be disappointed, but if you came here to check out the i{heart} papers Design Team Blog Hop, then you’ve come to the right place and are in for a treat.

Deb Felts, our Challenge Coordinator, challenged us to use the 4 X 6 cases that i{heart} papers stocks to create our challenge project for this hop.  While these cases can easily hold enough paper to have a new page for every month, I used a tear off calendar that I had on hand to create my project.


Upon a card base of Delish patterned paper by Webster’s Pages, I added my calendar which was matted onto brown cardstock and then onto hot pink, all underlined with a row of Zva Creative Crystals.   As I was trying to come up with something to take up the vast space along the bottom of my calendar, I was reminded of a quote I once read, “All the flowers of all the tomorrows are in the seeds of today” and so I added some of flowers in the corner and the word TODAY in big bold chipboard letters reminding me that what seeds I sow today will bear fruit (good or bad) tomorrow; a good visual to be mindful of what I say, what I think, and how I act.
