You're Got Mail...

Hi all.  It's official - as of this afternoon at 1:30 my long awaited two weeks of vacation has begun!  (sigh of relief).  I'm so happy to be off of work, and to have just a little extra time to get all the final Christmas preparations completed, as well as have some time to spend with family and hopefully get some crafting done.  I  haven't been feeling  particularly crafty lately and that's most likely due to the other things that have required my attention.

I am excited to share with you the results of the play time I was able to squeak in, and tonight I join some members of the Gina K Design Team in a Blog Hop featuring Melanie Muenchinger's Tech Talk.

There are so many fun images in this set - tons for the tech side of us all, and sentiments to go along with them...include one famous line, "you've got mail".  REAL mail...the kind that comes in your mail box, not in-box.  In today's world of e-mail, facebook, blogs and twitter, handmade cards are still sent the old fashioned way...and what a wonderful way to let someone know you are thinking of them than by sending them a little bit of love wrapped in an envelope?

Starting with a base of Pure Luxury Kraft cardstock and a panel of Pure Luxury Rocket Red,  I layered several of the envelopes sealed with a heart that I stamped and cut out - attaching them with pop dots.  To really enhance the sweet little hearts, I applied a tiny heart Rain Dot to each.
