Note: I don't know what's going with blogger, but the term, "WYSIWYG" (What you see is what you get) doesn't apply lately. No matter how much I revise the font size and spacing, it's NOT right. So, please forgive the wonky appearance of the last few posts. *sigh*
Now that Thanksgiving is over, the Taylored Expressions Sketch Challenge crew are back with with a new sketch. I'm growing a little weary of making Christmas cards, since it seems like I've been making them for 3 months...WAIT, I HAVE been making them since late October! I wanted to change it up a bit and create a card that is more of a spring card than winter themed. (Wishful thinking won't get me any closer, however)

I saw this fun video about making scrunched paper flowers so I thought that today's sketch was the perfect layout to give this a try. I used three sizes of Marvy Flower punches and misted the punched shapes with water. Then while they were still wet, I scrunched them up into a ball and gently un-scrunched them. I attached all the layers with a Zva Creative Brad, further scrunching and offsetting the petals as I went. Once the cardstock dried, they maintained their scrunchy shapes. Fun!
I wasn't really sure what to do with the three rectangular panels on the sketch, so using some chipboard, I covered them with cardstock (all from TE's November's Key Ingredient Kit) and then added some SU! rub-ons which served nicely for my sentiment, because after all; Life IS Beautiful!
I hope you are properly motivated and want to play along. Be sure to visit the Taylored Expressions blog and submit your card to Mr. Linky. Taylor will be choosing her top ten "Top Crops" and feature them on her blog next week. That you be YOUR Crop highlighted on Taylor's blog!! If you are in need of a little inspiration, be sure and stop by the blogs of the Sketch Crew and see their interpretation of this week's sketch.
and don't forget Taylor!
I'm so happy you took time to stop by today! I appreciate your visits and just love reading your comments. Have a fantastic weekend.
