Let's Make Merry

Hi all - I hope this finds your week off to a rip-roaring start.  Today the i{heart}papers Design Team are participating in their monthly challenge, and Deb Felts, our Challenge Coordinator challenged us to make a card with a theme of Eat, Drink & Be Merry using one of the newest My Mind's Eye kits.  These are really fun kits because not only do they have great coordinating papers, but also a sheet of die cut.

I went for the "make merry" part because there are lots of people, places and things that put me in a merry mood.

The one thing that makes me the most happy are people who brighten my day, by either a kindness they show me, a joke they share to make me giggle or just giving me a reassuring smile.  It doesn't take much to make me happy, but I'm always grateful for even the smallest kindness.


Using papers from Be Loved Collection Kit, I applied a base onto Pure Luxury Chocolate Kiss cardstock and added the "loopy" die cut along the left edge.  I added part of one of the journaling tags topped by a piece of Brown Faux Suede Ruffled Ribbon. I added a Zva Creative Heavy Silk Flower that I topped off with a Glazed Brad from the Indian Summer collection by Basic Grey and adorned it with a single Zva Creative crystal.


I covered a chipboard heart with another piece of the patterned paper from the kit, sanding the edges for a finished look and thought it made a nice addition to the sentiment which is from the Blessed by You stamp set from Waltzingmouse Stamps.
