Beanie Caps are Tops!

I don't know about you, but gift cards are the perfect solution for gift giving to those who either HAVE everything, or those I HAVE no idea what they might like for Christmas.  Trying to come up with ideas for the perfect gift can send me into a stressful tizzy so rather than turn my Christmas spirit into a Scrooge-like nightmare, I opt for a gift card.  But just because I lack the creativity to come up with a suitable gift doesn't mean that I can't decorate the packaging for the gift card in a stylish fashion.  This is where today's Try a New Technique comes in.  Inspired by Carolina's creation, I created a Beanie Cap Gift Card holder for one of the many gift cards I'll be giving this year.

Following Carolina's simple directions and using papers from Cosmo Cricket, this gift card holder came together quickly and I'm pleased with the way it turned out.

Here is a view with the beanie open, but without the gift card so that you can see the small tag I added.  Once the recipient opens and removes the gift card, they will know who it is from.

There's no doubt once the beanie is opened that the gift lies within.

Now it's your turn.  I hope you will join me and the rest of the Try a New Technique Challenge group.  Directions and links are located there which will have you making your own beanie in no time.

Have a fantastic day.
