You're Snowbody 'Til Somebody Loves You

It's a happy day around the Mercurio household today...it's officially Thanksgiving vacation for us. 5 glorious days of free wheeling, pie eating, stuffin' stuffing fun. For us the holidays have begun. I've been listening to Christmas music for a week already and am really getting into the spirit of things and actually looking forward to decorating the house this weekend, as is our yearly tradition. Yeah, call me crazy.

One tradition that I've never enjoyed or gotten "into" is the black Friday hubbub. The traffic here in St. Louis is horrific on a GOOD day. Throw in crazed people thinking they might save a buck or two and you have mayhem. The card I want to share with you today just a card that I pulled together just for fun. I didn't have anyone in mind when I created it, no special purpose other than to just enjoy the creative process. Don't you just love it when you can create like that?

Using stamps from the Unity November Store Kit, Believe in Fairytales, available from i{heart}papers, I created the snowman and sentiment. The November Store Kit includes a ton of stamps, as do all of the Unity Store Kits, which in my opinion, make them a great value.

I stamped the snowman with pigment ink and embossed him and added a few Zva Creative crystals to parts of his body.

I added a sentiment along with an acrylic heart topped with a button that sits upon a swirl that I punched out from the same patterned paper. A little trim of rick-rack along the bottom finishes off this card nicely.
