Quicker Picker Upper Flower-Viva-Zva

Wow...is it Monday again already? Where do the weekends go? I blink and they are over...of course with the time change and it getting dark around 5 pm, it makes the day seem like it's over before it has really begun. I probably sound like a broken record (are you old enough to understand that reference?) because I think I probably say the same thing every Monday. I guess that's the attitude you have when you work full time and the only thing that Monday means is that you have to go back to work. But today there are flowers blooming at my house. WHAT you say? In the middle of FALL? Yep, but the flowers aren't blooming in my garden, but in my craft room.

Today on the Try a New Technique Challenge on SplitcoastStampers.com, we are making flowers out of paper towels. Yep, that's right...the quicker picker upper is now the quicker flower maker. So in theory I guess if you spilled something on the floor, you could throw this card on it, and poof - the spill would be gone. Let's hope it wouldn't come to that. HA! If you have time today, pop on over to the group and give it a try. It's fun and easy and requires a minimum of supplies.

My project today uses the technique to create a pink blossom rising from the Zva Creative stem. I love pink and brown color combinations and this paper by K & Company is just so fun and fabulous for today's card. My flower does have a wonderful shimmery sparkle to it from the Glimmer Mist, but that is nearly impossible to capture in photographs, so you'll just have to take my word for it.

I appreciate you stopping by today. That really starts my week off on a positive note!

When I see something like this, my first thought is always something like, "that makes so much sense, why didn't I think of that?" lol... Great card! That flower just pops! TFS... By the way, do you ever teach any classes in St. Louis??? If so, I'd love to attend!
