Let's Melt Some Snow

Each month the Design Team of i{heart}papers holds a challenge. Sometimes it's a color challenge; other months it's an element that we focus on. This month, Deb Felts, our challenge coordinator has given us a sketch challenge. Deb pointed us to THIS card and challenged us to create a card based on Joanne's card layout.

I just had to break out an older stamp that I just love, Kissy Deer - and couldn't let a holiday season go by without inking it up at least once. I thought it was just a perfect match for this sentiment that is from the Snowy Sayings set from Our Craft Lounge.

I colored the strings of festive lights using Spica Glitter pens which just scream to be used for Christmas lights and have so much sparkle fun IRL.

I added a couple of glittered chipboard snowflakes topped with corduroy brads by Zva Creative. I'm happy with the way the card turned out. It will make a fun card to slip into my hubby's stocking on Christmas morning. *wink*
